A good demo can make any software look great. The real question is how it behaves with your data on your phone. Here is a 30-minute test you can run before you spend a rupee.

Minutes 1 to 10: set up

Add one building and five rooms. Notice how many steps it takes and whether anything confuses you. Setup should feel natural, not like filling a government form.

Minutes 10 to 20: add tenants and rent

Add five real tenants. Record two payments, one in cash and one by UPI. Leave two unpaid. Now check the pending list. Is it clear and correct?

Minutes 20 to 25: ask your manager

Hand your phone to your manager and ask him to add a tenant. If he gets stuck, remember that you will be the one answering his calls every day.

Minutes 25 to 30: look at reports

Check the income, expense and occupancy reports. Do they make sense to you? Could you explain them to your family?

Questions for the seller

  • What happens to my bill if I add 50 beds?
  • Are reminders and reports part of the price?
  • Can I export my data if I leave?
  • Is there any lock-in or cancellation fee?
  • How do I get help if I am stuck?
